Lucky Charms: NFL
“I don’t have any lucky charms or rituals. I believe in routines because it allows yourself to mentally focus and train yourself to respond to the triggers of your routine so that you can get your body to peak at the exactly game time. As for lucky charms I’ve never been a superstitious person and I personally believe that when someone believes they are successful out of luck that it negates the effort and hard work they have put in. For example, I think if you ace an exam, it isn’t because you have a lucky pencil, it’s because you worked hard to learn and understand the material.”
Jaeden Graham, Atlanta Falcons, Tight End
“I am a little superstitious. Nothing crazy but I always dress and put my gear on in the same order. Like how I put my knee and thigh pads in my pants and which I foot I put my socks and cleats on first.”
Nick Dzubnar, Los Angeles Chargers, Linebacker
“I don’t have a set routine or lucky ritual because I don’t want to feel like I need to depend on anything to play well. I more so just want to feel confident and trust my teammates and myself to get it done. ”
Matt Prater, Detroit Lions, Kicker
Lucky Charms: MLB
“I try to stay away from the term “lucky” and focus more on just being routine oriented. My routine is everything from the way I take a shower in the morning down to the exact same pitch routine on the mound in between innings. But I am extremely routine focused because I feel that makes me the most prepared I can possibly be.”
Paul Sewald, New York Mets, Pitcher

K.J. Feagin, San Diego State University, Guard

Justinian Jessup, Boise State University, Guard
“As far as lucky charms: I wouldn’t say any like lucky rabbits foot or anything of those sorts trinkets. pretty much the only think i’ll do before going out to the court is just shoot a quick text to my mom, pops, and sister

“We don’t have any crazy traditions that I know of, other than whenever any player falls down in practice or a game, the whole team’s job is to run over and pick them up. If we don’t, then we run for it. It helps build team unity for us!”
Justin Bean, Utah State University, Forward
“As far as traditions go one thing that we do before every game is a dance circle with all players. We clap in a beat and then people can hop in the middle and dance. That is after we run out on the court a few minutes before the game.”
Oscar Da Silva, Stanford University, Forward
“We like doing the ‘yes’ chant. If you have seen Daniel Bryan on WWE! We do the same chant”
Chandler Vaudrin, Winthrop University, Guard
